About....
Capel Primary School P&C Association
The P&C is all about supporting our children and our school community. It is an opportunity to learn about what is happening in the school and how parents and teachers can work together on particular projects for the benefit of our children.
Membership is open to all parents of pupils attending the school and to all citizens within the school community. An annual subscription shall be paid by all those who wish to be members. This is only a dollar coin donation. Everyone has something to contribute, such as time, ideas, enthusiasm, or just getting in there and getting their hands dirty!
Your presence, support, input, and opinions are very valuable. It’s not all about raising money. It’s about producing a volunteer spirit and a welcoming and engaging environment for our school community.
Fundraising is not our main function, it is only part of the bigger picture. All money that is raised by the P&C is, as a rule, used solely for the benefit of the children/school. As a P&C member you get to vote on how funds are used—and ultimately that can only benefit your child too.
If you would like to be an important voice as to what goes on, in and around the school, come and join the P&C committee. If you can get to some of the meetings and not others that's fine, we will keep you up to date by emailing minutes out, notices in the school newsletter and on this website.
Presently General Meetings are held once a term, usually Friday, week 3, from 2pm to 3pm, in the school staffroom,
(often with coffee, cake and conversation from 1:30pm).
See the latest Capel Primary School newsletter for times and locations. Feel nervous? Why not bring a friend!
Our P&C is affiliated to WACSSO (West Australian Council of State School Organisations) by which we are guided.
